Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Plains Indian Shield (From Cowboys And Indians) by Andy Warhol was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2010. It achieved a price of USD 110,500.00 (€ 84,765.27), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 23%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).

Die Arbeit Plains Indian Shield (From Cowboys And Indians) von Andy Warhol wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 110.500,00 (€ 84.765,27) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 23%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
