Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mrs George Cunliffe, facing left in buff-coloured dress with lace bordered white underslip and muslin sleeves, red stole and pink-lined blue cloak draped around her shoulders by Andrew Robertson was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,036.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
