This artwork by Andrew Robertson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2000. In the Miniatures auction, the work A young gentleman, facing right in blue coat with gold buttons, cream waistcoat and white shirt with gold stick pin sold for GBP 1,997.50 (€ 3,205.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrew Robertson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As The Artist'S Wife, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,769.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Robertson erzielte im Mai 2000 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Miniatures wurde die Arbeit A young gentleman, facing right in blue coat with gold buttons, cream waistcoat and white shirt with gold stick pin für GBP 1.997,50 (€ 3.205,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrew Robertson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As The Artist'S Wife beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.769,40) versteigert wurde.
