Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identifed As Georgina Sophia Daniell, Circa 1800 by Andrew Plimer was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,188.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Plimer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lady called Lady Whitbread, facing left in buff-coloured dress with white underslip, pearl armlet, holding a garland of leaves flowing from her dark curling hair in her right hand in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 25,850.00 (€ 41,479.72).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A lady called Lady Whitbread, facing left in buff-coloured dress with white underslip, pearl armlet, holding a garland of leaves flowing from her dark curling hair in her right hand im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.850,00 (€ 41.479,72).
