Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary, which included the work La Defense, Panorama by Andreas Gursky. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,852.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andreas Gursky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 99 Cent Ii, Diptych in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,700,000.00 (€ 2,520,188.96).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Defense, Panorama von Andreas Gursky zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.852,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andreas Gursky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 99 Cent Ii, Diptych im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.700.000,00 (€ 2.520.188,96).
