Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Poles 33 from "The Japan Series", 2010 by Andreas Gefeller was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 250.00 (€ 280.30). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andreas Gefeller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Parking Site 1) 2007 from Supervisions in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,418.73).
