Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Academy of Arts R210) by Andreas Gefeller for USD 535.50 (€ 473.14). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary ArtFeaturing a Selection of Modern & Contemporary African Art at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andreas Gefeller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Parking Site 1) 2007 from Supervisions in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,418.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Academy of Arts R210) von Andreas Gefeller für USD 535,50 (€ 473,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary ArtFeaturing a Selection of Modern & Contemporary African Art bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andreas Gefeller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Parking Site 1) 2007 from Supervisions im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.418,73).
