Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andrea Zittel could be acquired at Christies in New York in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work A-Z Time Tunnel: Time to Read Every Book I Ever Wanted to Read changed hands for USD 24,000.00 (€ 24,532.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Andrea Zittel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Free Running Rhythms and Patterns Version II. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 141,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrea Zittel konnte im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wechselte die Arbeit A-Z Time Tunnel: Time to Read Every Book I Ever Wanted to Read für USD 24.000,00 (€ 24.532,35) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrea Zittel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Free Running Rhythms and Patterns Version II. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 141.900,00.
