Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Feminist Spirituality And Magical Politics Scrapbook by Andrea Bowers was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,078.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrea Bowers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Political Slogans and Flower Magick: Kiss my Feminist Ass!, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,584.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Feminist Spirituality And Magical Politics Scrapbook von Andrea Bowers im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.078,16) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrea Bowers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Political Slogans and Flower Magick: Kiss my Feminist Ass! beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.584,20) versteigert wurde.
