Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2021 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Running Mr. A by André Saraiva. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,417.74), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André Saraiva - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chadoks Contre Les Smurfes - 1991 - 1992, which sold at auction in February 2020 for EUR 16,900.00.
