Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux, which included the work Mr A . Cobalt Blue Square 2 by André Saraiva. It changed hands for a price of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 3,912.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by André Saraiva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chadoks Contre Les Smurfes - 1991 - 1992 in February 2020 with an auction result of EUR 16,900.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mr A . Cobalt Blue Square 2 von André Saraiva zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 3.912,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Saraiva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chadoks Contre Les Smurfes - 1991 - 1992 im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.900,00.
