A top price for André Breton
This artwork by André Breton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Chanson-Objet sold for USD 866,500.00 (€ 700,824.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00. This high result makes Chanson-Objet the most expensive artwork by André Breton that we have observed at auctions so far.
