AMY SILLMAN (B.1955) Green Painting (w Boat) signed twice, titled and dated 'AMY SILLMAN 2001 Amy Sillman "green ptng (w Boat)"' (on the reverse) oil on panel 20 x 16 in. (50.8 x 40.6 cm.) Painted in 2001.
Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Green Painting (w Boat) by Amy Sillman. The price achieved of USD 11,970.00 (€ 11,189.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amy Sillman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Your Affection in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 870,000.00 (€ 770,798.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Painting (w Boat) von Amy Sillman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.970,00 (€ 11.189,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amy Sillman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Your Affection im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 870.000,00 (€ 770.798,26).
