Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Word of Mouth by Amy Sillman was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 48,260.00 (€ 44,242.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amy Sillman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Your Affection in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 870,000.00 (€ 770,798.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Word of Mouth von Amy Sillman kam im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 48.260,00 (€ 44.242,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amy Sillman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Your Affection im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 870.000,00 (€ 770.798,26).
