Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme Nue Assise De Trois Quarts by Amedeo Modigliani was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The price achieved of USD 35,280.00 (€ 28,932.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amedeo Modigliani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nu Couché in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 170,405,000.00 (€ 161,337,814.81).

Die Arbeit Femme Nue Assise De Trois Quarts von Amedeo Modigliani wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 28.932,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amedeo Modigliani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nu Couché im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.405.000,00 (€ 161.337.814,81).
