A top price for Amedeo Modigliani
In November 2015 Christies in New York held the auction The Artist's Muse: A Curated Evening Sale, which included the work Nu Couché by Amedeo Modigliani. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 170,405,000.00 (€ 161,337,814.81). With this result, Nu Couché is even the most expensive work of art by Amedeo Modigliani that we have observed at auctions so far.
