Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tête de jeune fille (Louise) by Amedeo Modigliani was sold in the Living the Avant-Garde: The Triton Collection Foundation, Evening Sale Part I auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,868,000.00 (€ 5,379,537.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amedeo Modigliani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nu Couché in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 170,405,000.00 (€ 161,337,814.81).
