Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 8,201.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfons Mucha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Girl with a Plate with a Folk Motif in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 279,041.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tête byzantine brune / Tête byzantine blonde. von Alfons Mucha wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern, Post War & Contemporary bei VAN HAM in Köln versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.201,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfons Mucha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Girl with a Plate with a Folk Motif im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 279.041,81).
