Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work Untitled (Text Films) by Allen Ruppersberg. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,839.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allen Ruppersberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paper Drive (For Claire) in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 57,500.00 (€ 51,551.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Text Films) von Allen Ruppersberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.839,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allen Ruppersberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paper Drive (For Claire) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 51.551,01).
