Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction First Open / LDN, which included the work Siste Viator (Stop Traveler) by Allen Ruppersberg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,838.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Ruppersberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paper Drive (For Claire) in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 57,500.00 (€ 51,551.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open / LDN durch, in der auch die Arbeit Siste Viator (Stop Traveler) von Allen Ruppersberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.838,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Ruppersberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paper Drive (For Claire) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 51.551,01).
