The »bidding war« ended at GBP 48,260.00 (€ 54,905.07), 61% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Allan McCollum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates, which sold at auction in September this year for USD 226,800.00 (€ 214,285.71).

Die Arbeit Collection of 30 Drawings (No.5) von Allan McCollum wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 48.260,00 (€ 54.905,07) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Allan McCollum mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für USD 226.800,00 (€ 214.285,71) versteigert wurde.
