This artwork by Allan McCollum achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March this year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Collection of 15 Drawings (No. 2) sold for GBP 39,060.00 (€ 44,438.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allan McCollum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates in September this year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 214,285.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Allan McCollum erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Collection of 15 Drawings (No. 2) für GBP 39.060,00 (€ 44.438,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan McCollum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 214.285,71).
