Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Collection of Thirty Drawings by Allan McCollum was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 35,194.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 28,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Allan McCollum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates in September this year with an auction result of USD 226,800.00 (€ 214,285.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Collection of Thirty Drawings von Allan McCollum wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 35.194,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 28.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan McCollum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Collection of One Hundred and Ninety-two Plaster Surrogates im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 214.285,71).
