In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art, which included the work An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado by Allan Douglas Davidson. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado is the most expensive artwork by Allan Douglas Davidson that we have observed at auctions so far.
