A top price for Allan Douglas Davidson - as previously expected
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art, which included the work An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado by Allan Douglas Davidson. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado is the most expensive artwork by Allan Douglas Davidson that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado von Allan Douglas Davidson zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.731,36) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
