This artwork by Allan Douglas Davidson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Female Nude sold for GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,289.44) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Allan Douglas Davidson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Allan Douglas Davidson erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Female Nude für GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.289,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan Douglas Davidson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.731,36).
