In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Seated odalisque by Allan Douglas Davidson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,387.72), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Allan Douglas Davidson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36).

Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated odalisque von Allan Douglas Davidson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.387,72) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Allan Douglas Davidson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.731,36).
