However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Allan Douglas Davidson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado, which sold at auction in July 2020 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,731.36).

Die Arbeit Seated nude von Allan Douglas Davidson kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.644,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Für andere Arbeiten von Allan Douglas Davidson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An English Yum-Yum: my lady lights the sombre day: A scene from The Mikado beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.731,36) versteigert wurde.
