A top price for Alistair Frost - as previously expected
In September 2011 Christies in New York held the auction First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Stipes 2) by Alistair Frost. The price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,903.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Stipes 2) is the most expensive artwork by Alistair Frost that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im September 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Stipes 2) von Alistair Frost zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.903,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Stipes 2) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alistair Frost, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
