It achieved a price of USD 3,107.00 (€ 1,573.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. Admittedly, works by Alice Boughton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Photographic Portraits Of W.B. Yeats in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,090.71).

Die Arbeit Comforted, Circa 1906 von Alice Boughton wurde im April 2004 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.107,00 (€ 1.573,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alice Boughton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Photographic Portraits Of W.B. Yeats im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.090,71).
