Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art, which included the work Mastros E Bandeirinhas by Alfredo Volpi. The price achieved of USD 287,500.00 (€ 271,790.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Volpi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bandeirinhas estruturadas, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 842,500.00 (€ 626,254.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art | Latin America: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mastros E Bandeirinhas von Alfredo Volpi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 287.500,00 (€ 271.790,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Volpi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bandeirinhas estruturadas beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 842.500,00 (€ 626.254,37) versteigert wurde.
