Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bandeirinhas Em Fundo Azul by Alfredo Volpi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2016. The price achieved of USD 298,000.00 (€ 267,624.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Volpi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bandeirinhas estruturadas, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 842,500.00 (€ 626,254.37).

Die Arbeit Bandeirinhas Em Fundo Azul von Alfredo Volpi kam im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 298.000,00 (€ 267.624,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Volpi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bandeirinhas estruturadas beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 842.500,00 (€ 626.254,37) versteigert wurde.
