Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mujer Con Flores by Alfredo Ramos Martínez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 180,000.00 – 220,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 189,000.00 (€ 154,994.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Ramos Martínez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers of Mexico in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 4,072,000.00 (€ 3,011,834.32).
