Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Body is the Map by Alfredo Jaar for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,394.88). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Jaar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Refugee (Water) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,721.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Body is the Map von Alfredo Jaar für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.394,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Jaar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Refugee (Water) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.721,50).
