Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfred Pollentine could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Doge'S Palace, Grand Canal, Venice changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,014.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Pollentine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,968.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Pollentine konnte im April 2008 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit The Doge'S Palace, Grand Canal, Venice für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.014,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Pollentine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.968,90) versteigert wurde.
