This artwork by Alfred Montague achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2018. In the Annabel's auction, the work Travers' College, Windsor sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,934.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alfred Montague; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A blustery day in the estuary sold at auction in November 2003 with the realized price of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,397.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Montague erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Annabel's wurde die Arbeit Travers' College, Windsor für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.934,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alfred Montague; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A blustery day in the estuary im November 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.397,54).
