In the Christie's Interiors Including Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours From The Collection of The Late John Appleby auction, the work Off to the rescue changed hands for GBP 300.00 (€ 339.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Montague achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A blustery day in the estuary in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,397.54).
