The work Barnston Pinnacle At Baldwin Mills by Alfred Joseph Casson was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in December 2009. The price achieved of CAD 31,200.00 (€ 20,809.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Joseph Casson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 111,750.00 (€ 86,488.14).
