This artwork by Alfred Joseph Casson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Toronto in June 2010. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work On The Humber sold for CAD 36,000.00 (€ 27,614.35) - well above the upper estimate of CAD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Joseph Casson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 111,750.00 (€ 86,488.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Joseph Casson erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Toronto einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wurde die Arbeit On The Humber für CAD 36.000,00 (€ 27.614,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CAD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Joseph Casson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River beobachtet, die im November 2012 für CAD 111.750,00 (€ 86.488,14) versteigert wurde.
