Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Rough Weather, Oxtongue Lake by Alfred Joseph Casson. The price achieved of CAD 21,600.00 (€ 16,717.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Joseph Casson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 111,750.00 (€ 86,488.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rough Weather, Oxtongue Lake von Alfred Joseph Casson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 21.600,00 (€ 16.717,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Joseph Casson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 111.750,00 (€ 86.488,14).
