The work October, Maple Lake by Alfred Joseph Casson was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2010. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 42,000.00 (€ 31,380.79), 68% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Joseph Casson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 111,750.00 (€ 86,488.14).

Die Arbeit October, Maple Lake von Alfred Joseph Casson wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 42.000,00 (€ 31.380,79) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Joseph Casson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Below Ragged Falls, Oxtongue River beobachtet, die im November 2012 für CAD 111.750,00 (€ 86.488,14) versteigert wurde.
