Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Even + Odd by Alfred Jensen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,618.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heaven; Per I and II in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 477,750.00 (€ 352,973.77).
