Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Evening Boat to Greenock by Alfred de Bréanski was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 24,074.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred de Bréanski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lochnagar, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,785.49).

Die Arbeit The Evening Boat to Greenock von Alfred de Bréanski kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 24.074,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred de Bréanski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lochnagar beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.785,49) versteigert wurde.
