Auction result well in line with expectations

The work The Dee at Balmoral by Alfred de Bréanski was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in London in July last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 33,102.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred de Bréanski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lochnagar, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,785.49).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit The Dee at Balmoral von Alfred de Bréanski wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 33.102,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred de Bréanski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lochnagar beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.785,49) versteigert wurde.
