Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alexis Rockman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in March 2009. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work Fishing Amazonas: Santarem sold for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,122.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexis Rockman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hot House in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,465.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexis Rockman erzielte im März 2009 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wurde die Arbeit Fishing Amazonas: Santarem für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.122,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexis Rockman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hot House im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 34.465,58).
