Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cupid and Psyche by Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard was sold in the European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2010. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Madame Recamier (1777–1849), Seated In A Classical Interior in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 54,050.00 (€ 62,552.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cupid and Psyche von Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Madame Recamier (1777–1849), Seated In A Classical Interior im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.050,00 (€ 62.552,60).
