The work The Three Graces by Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,983.22) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Madame Recamier (1777–1849), Seated In A Classical Interior, which sold at auction in October 2011 for GBP 54,050.00 (€ 62,552.60).

Die Arbeit The Three Graces von Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard wurde im Januar 2012 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.983,22) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre-Évariste Fragonard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Madame Recamier (1777–1849), Seated In A Classical Interior beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für GBP 54.050,00 (€ 62.552,60) versteigert wurde.
