Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alexander MacKenzie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2016. In the Day Auction auction, the work Landscape sold for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 28,022.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexander MacKenzie; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- sold at auction in June 2017 with the realized price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander MacKenzie erzielte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Landscape für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 28.022,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alexander MacKenzie; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- im Juni 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.552,54).
