Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Green Coast by Alexander MacKenzie was worth GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,246.31) to a buyer in November 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Day Auction at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexander MacKenzie; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Painting (Gwithian) Aug 57- sold at auction in June 2017 with the realized price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,552.54).

Die Arbeit Green Coast von Alexander MacKenzie war einem Käufer im November 2016 GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.246,31) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
