This artwork by Alexander Liberman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Untitled: 2 Works sold for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,360.56) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Liberman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Solstice Vii in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,390.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Liberman erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Untitled: 2 Works für USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.360,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Liberman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Solstice Vii im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.390,17).
