Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Crucifixion, Belfry, And Christ In The Garden Of Gethsemane: Three Pencil Drawings by Alexander Kharitonov was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,305.60). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Kharitonov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian Faith From The Sorceress Series, 1965 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,139.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Crucifixion, Belfry, And Christ In The Garden Of Gethsemane: Three Pencil Drawings von Alexander Kharitonov im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.305,60) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Kharitonov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian Faith From The Sorceress Series, 1965 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 145.000,00 (€ 93.139,77).
